Global Trademark Company was started in 2016 by Rajatpreet Singh Modi and Zaman Zaidi as a new-age firm to give founders, solo operators, and growing businesses a single legal partner for every legal layer they encounter, from IP and contracts to data privacy, M&A, fundraising, regulatory, and disputes (handled via specialist litigators with transparent fees).
Trademarks were the doorway: the most common first matter, fast to scope, immediately valuable, and the question every founder asks first, "is my name safe?" So we kept the word "Trademark" in the name. But the practice was end-to-end from day one, and it grew into every out-of-court legal layer a modern business needs.
Just as International Business Machines became IBM when its remit outgrew the words, Global Trademark Company became GTC, a full-stack IP and business legal firm.
In 2019 the team began to scale. Today GTC operates with 11 in-house attorneys and 50+ partner attorneys, with 5 offices across the United States, India, the European Union (Bulgaria), China, and the United Kingdom, available across major jurisdictions worldwide.
