How it works
We set up the renewal diary the moment we take on the matter, and send you reminders 12 months, 6 months, and 30 days before the European Union renewal deadline.
Inside the EUIPO filing window, our EU representative drafts and files the renewal, paying the government fee from your retainer or on your authorisation.
Once the EUIPO confirms the renewal, we deliver the renewal certificate to your client portal and set the diary for the next renewal cycle.
What's included
An EUTM renewal at the EUIPO is one of the simplest renewal procedures globally, no use declaration, no specimens, just the renewal fee filed online before the 10-year anniversary of the filing date. The registration remains in force across all 27 EU member states.
Pricing breakdown
Government fees are subject to scheduled adjustments by the EUIPO and are passed through at cost.
Why timing matters
The EUTM is one of the most cost-effective trademark assets to maintain, €850 for the first class covers all 27 EU member states. Missing the deadline costs the 25% surcharge in the 6-month grace window, or a full new application if you miss that too.
EUIPO allows 6-month grace period after expiry with 25% surcharge, but the surcharge is real money, and the registration is technically lapsed during that window. Better to file in the standard window.
If the European Union grace period also lapses, the mark is cancelled and the date you lose. Any third party can register the same mark from the day after, including in jurisdictions where squatting is endemic.

How long
Send us your European Union registration number and an attorney confirms your next renewal deadline before any work, or any payment. Begins.
We file your EUIPO renewal inside the standard pre-expiry window, well before the deadline.
The EUIPO records the renewal and your registration continues without a gap in protection.
Most registries allow a short grace period after the deadline, with a surcharge and a lapsed registration in the meantime. We aim to file well before it.
We diary the next renewal and any mid-term use declaration, so your protection never lapses by surprise.
